Programs

In addition to a rigorous academic program, students participate in enrichment programs such as those listed below.

Enrichments during the school day.  Each enrichment is anywhere from a 6-8 week window at a time.

• STAR Science 
• Drama (6 weeks)- - each year, classes perform  a play or musical.  
• Foreign Language (6 weeks)
• Yoga (6 weeks)- - to help students stay fit and manage stress
• Physical Education activities (September to May) through YMCA Play
• Zentangle
• Creative Arts network- 6 week rotation of visual arts, dance, music and theater
• Musical Orchestra (all year: participation is optional)

Enrichment options after school:

• LEGO Engineering (There is an enrollment capacity and has a participation fee that is paid by parents.)
• Academic Chess (There is an enrollment capacity and has a participation fee that is paid by parents.)
• Youth Services program (YS) - after school sports and activities (2nd-5th grade)
• Los Angeles Conservation Corps (LACC) - homework help, arts and crafts, sports, games, etc. (grades K-5: registration required)
